Privacy Policy

TractLens is a service operated by Common Cents AI, LLC, a California limited liability company ("we," "us," "TractLens"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use tractlens.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly:

• Your first name and email address (collected at the report-gate step)
• The listing URLs you submit for analysis
• Use-case preferences you toggle on the report gate (e.g., household includes kids, water priority, remote-living comfort, ADA needs, primary use case)
• Beta access codes you enter (e.g., EARLYBIRD)
• Optional feedback you send us by email

Information collected automatically:

• Browser type, device type, and approximate geographic region (from IP address) — used for security and aggregate analytics only
• Pages viewed, features used, and time spent — to improve the product
• Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6)

Information from third parties:

• Stripe — when you pay for a report, Stripe collects and processes your card details. Stripe shares with us a confirmation that the charge succeeded, the last four digits of your card, and a Stripe customer ID. We never see your full card number, CVV, or expiration date. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
• Listing data — when you submit a listing URL, we fetch the publicly available page contents through third-party scraping services (currently Jina AI Reader). We do not collect login credentials for any listing site.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To generate, deliver, and personalize the property analysis you requested
• To process payments and provide receipts
• To send transactional emails (account confirmations, receipts, password resets)
• To respond to support requests
• To improve TractLens — analyze which features are used, debug errors, and refine the AI scoring model
• To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud or abuse
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information to train third-party AI models, sell your data to advertisers, or share it with data brokers.

3. Who We Share Information With

We share the minimum information necessary with the following service providers:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, and hosting (your account record, preferences, and report history are stored in Firestore)
• Stripe — payment processing
• Anthropic — the AI provider that performs the analysis. The listing URL and your use-case toggles are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your report. Anthropic does not retain this data for model training under its API terms. See anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
• Jina AI — used to fetch the public contents of the listing URL you submit
• Email delivery — Google Workspace (for transactional email from info@commoncents-ai.com)

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or if necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of TractLens, our users, or the public.

4. How Long We Keep It

• Account records — kept while your account is active, and for up to 24 months after deletion for backup, fraud-prevention, and tax records.
• Report history — kept while your account is active so you can re-read past reports. Deleted with your account.
• Payment records — kept for at least 7 years to comply with tax and accounting law.
• Aggregated analytics — kept indefinitely in anonymized form.

5. Your Rights

Regardless of where you live, you can email info@commoncents-ai.com to:

• Access a copy of the information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and associated data (subject to the retention exceptions above)
• Export your report history in a portable format
• Opt out of non-essential analytics

California residents (CCPA / CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

EU / UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR): Our lawful bases for processing are (a) performance of a contract (delivering the report you paid for), (b) legitimate interest (improving the product, security), and (c) consent (optional analytics). You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

TractLens uses browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your beta-code state between sessions. We use a small number of first-party cookies for authentication (set by Firebase Auth). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

7. Children's Privacy

TractLens is intended for adults purchasing rural land. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, please email info@commoncents-ai.com and we will delete it.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS everywhere, encrypted-at-rest storage via Firebase, scoped Firestore security rules, and Secret Manager for API credentials. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

9. International Transfers

TractLens is operated from the United States. If you use the service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. By using TractLens, you consent to that transfer.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as TractLens evolves. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email and post the new effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of TractLens after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
